Stupid Customer Tricks

Yesterday, when I did not have a size seven in a particular shoe, a woman asked me if we offered any sort of discount, since she “has to settle” for a six and a half.

A customer later asked a co-worker of mine if we’d honor the 50% associate discount she receives for working at a Coach store, since she was buying a Coach shoe from us.

Once upon a time when I wouldn’t offer a discount for a display shoe that was in perfect condition, a customer informed me with a straight face that “the price on the bottom of the shoe is really just a starting point for negotiations anyway.”
